Suzanne Young
I have over 30 years of experience practicing in social work and have
been providing psychotherapy for more than 28 years to adults,
adolescents and school-aged children in various settings such as
children’s mental health, schools, women’s services as well as
developmental services.

I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social
Workers and Social Service Workers with many years of experience
offering mental health counselling and psychotherapy in private and
public mental health settings.
​
I primarily provide psychoanalytic psychotherapy (Advanced Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program certificate, The Toronto Psychoanalytic Society) and am trained in various psychotherapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and Attachment theory. I utilize a Trauma-informed, Strengths-based, neurodiversity affirming philosophy in my work.

My focus and experience is individual psychotherapy supporting
adolescents and adults through a variety of life transitions and
challenges.
